Benefits of singing
Singing has long been touted ‘food for the soul’. When we sing, music vibrations move through us, transforming our physical and emotional landscape.
Science shows that we spend 85% of our time in the left side of our brain, the side responsible for computing logic and analytics. This drains our battery over time. In order to feel balanced we need to fire up the right side of the brain that deals with creativity, intuition, and emotion.
Among the activities that promote the use of the right brain is nature (being outdoors), meditation, connecting with our loved ones and believe it or not – singing!
Many research studies have concluded that singing is a great antidote for stress, via the action of the endocrine system (the part of us that is linked to our sense of well-being). Similar to exercising, singing causes the release of oxytocin and endorphins (the feel good chemicals). It simultaneously reduces cortisol levels (the stress hormone) ultimately contributing to a happier you!
But I have never sung before? Is it too late to start now?

Lessons for adults are carried out in a one-on-one format and customised to meet individual’s specific needs and goals. No prior music knowledge is required, as we will provide you with all the information and tools you need, and will assist in continuing to build on these through each lesson. Students will be guided through warm-ups, scales, and technical exercises that support the longevity of the voice.
