At Melbourne Voiceworks we believe that in order to harness the full potential of any voice, we must not only nurture the development of the voice, but the development of the mind and emotional centre that carries the voice beyond the purely technical realm. We are highly passionate about helping people of all ages and all levels to discover, shape and develop their voice.
Our Teaching Philosophy
Teachers at Melbourne Voiceworks understand that each student has a method of learning that works best for them. We take the time to get to know you, your musical goals, and any challenges you encounter. From here we provide you with an easy to follow, tailored lesson program to turn your goals into reality and provide you with the necessary knowledge, understanding and tools for you can sing the music you love! We will support you throughout your journey towards achieving your goals and be a constant source of motivation, guidance and encouragement.
We encourage a healthy mindset and strongly advocate the use of positive self-talk as an integral part of building confidence and encourage students to always be kind and patient with themselves throughout the learning process. Students are encouraged to grant themselves the freedom to explore their instrument (their voice) without the fear of making mistakes. After all, what is often perceived as a mistake is most often what propels us to greater learning!
All students are guided with patience, respect, understanding, and a devotion to finding the most complimentary method of learning that will best leverage a student’s full potential.
Whether you are a complete beginner, closet singer or sing professionally, we are passionate about assisting all with the desire to sing!
